What is new in Firefox 12

Firefox 12 which was released on April 24th, removed User Account Control dialog in Windows and brought some minor features.

User Account Control Removal:

This is the most important part in this release as it takes Firefox one more step to the silent update feature similar to Chrome.  Whenever you are updating a software in Windows, you will be prompted with a dialog asking you permission to update the software.  Though this is useful to prevent  unwanted updates, prompting users too often hinders user experience. So Mozilla finally removed it in Firefox 12.

New Tab Page:

New tab page is also one of the main feature expected in Firefox.  Actually Firefox is the last browser to implement this feature.  Firefox now shows set of thumbnails based upon your browsing history.  You can edit the thumbnails to remove unwanted sites.  This is not final as Firefox 13 comes with improved new tab page.

The other minor features includes new improved customize toolbar window, adding line numbers to source viewer, downloads now starts automatically right after you paste the url in the download window, support for text-align-last css3 property, and undo option for words added to dictionary and more.
